One Time Disinfecting Service

Our process for one-time disinfecting requests is easy. We find out what you are looking for. Whatever the reason is we will gladly help you.

Data Driven Disinfecting

Data Driven Disinfecting

Accountability is important to us. We use data science, microbial reporting and predictive analytics to track contamination trends. We can then identify high-risk zones to dedicate additional resources to those trouble zones. We provide pre and post cleaning intelligence creating the nerdiest and highest standards of any professional disinfecting service. For clients that are on our recurring disinfecting plans with ATP testing this data is extremely valuable.

Accountability & Transparency

Few people know how a space gets cleaned or with what chemicals, at what time. We are changing that by providing pictures after each disinfecting service. This allows clients to share with their employees or customers to promote confidence and peace of mind. We also geo fence every job so we know when an employee arrives and when they finish each job.

How Our Corona Virus Disinfecting Process Works

We work with you to build a customized disinfecting maintenance strategy for your specific facility. Not every facility is the same and not every situation is the same. We have three common situations. Let us know which situation sounds like yours or we can custom tailor a plan for you.

Corona Busters Disinfecting Process Step 1Our office already has an established cleaning program in place and we just need additional disinfecting. These clients typically request just electrostatic spraying to supplement their existing cleaning efforts.
Corona Busters Disinfecting Process Step 2We just need to clean and disinfect high touch points, traffic areas, and provide electrostatic disinfecting service.
Corona Busters Disinfecting Process Step 3We want to go the extra mile and need full detailed disinfecting. This entails a pre-clean with cleaner and disinfectant, then we spray everything with our electrostatic disinfecting equipment, after allowing proper dwell time we wipe everything off.

Disinfecting Service FAQs

Depends on the size of your facility and the specific service. For example: for a electrostatic disinfecting service for an office we can cover large areas about twice as fast than traditional spray and wipe methods. If we are performing a full detailed decontamination disinfecting service, then typically we can cover about 500 square feet per hour. For a facility about 10,000 SF it would require about 20 man hours.

The most common service is electrostatic spraying. For a 10,000 SF office one of our teams can usually be done in about 2 hours so you can get back to business as usual. We know down time equals lost opportunity and lost revenue that is why we get you back up and running ASAP.

YES! The electrostatic disinfection systems used by Spotless Cleaning Chicago are approved by the EPA. The EPA has warned against fogging so make sure the service you hire has Electrostatic spraying equipment not foggers. Electrostatic sprayers apply a positive charge to liquid disinfectants as they pass through the nozzle. The positively charged disinfectant is attracted to negatively charged surfaces, which allows for efficient coating of hard nonporous surfaces. Not all disinfectants are approved for Electrostatic application. The Clorox 360 system was the only chemical and system approved by the EPA so every other chemical that people were spraying were not actually approved by the EPA. Recently, the EPA has approved two more chemicals for electrostatic application. The application method affects the efficacy of the chemical that is why it is important to make sure the chemical being used is not just approved for Covid-19, but will also work in an electrostatic application.

Absolutely! Electrostatic spraying makes it safer. Spray bottles spray larger and coarser droplets that can damage keyboards from over wetting. Electrostatic spraying allows for a lighter more even coating that will not damage electronics. Our disinfection services can be safely performed around electronics such as telephones, computers, televisions, laptops, monitors, keyboards and more. The reality is there is no need to spray the TV screen as that is not typically considered a touch point. Our teams are trained to not apply these solutions directly to electronics.

Tables and other hard surfaces are safe even on natural stone and wood. When we encounter delicate surfaces, we wipe and rinse after the 2 minute dwell time. Upholstered surfaces are also safe, our team will do a spot test to ensure that the disinfectants we use do not negatively react to the dyes in any fabric.

Cleaning and disinfecting in any form is not a protective barrier. Electrostatic disinfecting is a way to disinfect unwanted pathogens from surfaces that come into contact with the spray. Any disinfecting service will not protect those surfaces from becoming infected again. Our recommended frequency of electrostatic disinfection depends on the location and daily building occupants or total foot traffic.

For example, large offices we recommend weekly electrostatic spraying along with a daily cleaning and disinfecting program. Medical facilities, large commercial facilities, and schools we recommend electrostatic disinfection on a daily basis.

Absolutely not! Run as fast as you can away from anyone promising such a thing. Recently on September 2020 the EPA did approve a product for a 7-day residual antimicrobial under emergency use authorization. These products are typically applied in a very fine mist. Even if the product is effective there is no way it would still be on the surface after more than 30 days. With daily wear plus daily cleaning the product would wear from the surface relatively fast. We have heard outlandish claims of up to 5 years. If it sounds too good to be true, it typically is. We have been testing several products and do plan on using antimicrobials once we see the EPA issue approvals and further guidelines with reasonable reapplication periods.

If you had a confirmed case then you should shut down to avoid further contamination until the facility has been professionally disinfected. For regular preventative disinfecting we require your office or business to shut down while we are spraying, but it will be safe to re-enter immediately after it has been sprayed. We recommend waiting at least 15 minutes to re-enter, as this gives the disinfectant enough time to dry and the smell to dissipate.

Our process is estimated to reduce the downtime of your facility by up to 50%. Electrostatic spraying has a relatively low time required to settle after we spray which allows for people to reenter the space safely and quickly.

There can be a light residue with many disinfectants, but the chemicals we use will not leave residue behind. Quat based disinfectants typically leave residue. Quat based disinfectants also will create “Quat Burn” on surfaces. Our disinfectants were designed specifically to be safe on surfaces. In addition, our team will wipe off any excess product after proper dwell time to further reduce residue or streaking. We do our best to avoid any added work on your end after we spray. We clean and disinfect millions of square feet every day so we understand chemistry and would never use a product we have not previously tested.

You might think that hiring someone to clean the office means you are already doing everything you should against Covid-19 or other viruses. However, there is a difference between simply cleaning a room and disinfecting it.

Typical cleaning processes are primarily concerned with soil load reduction. This means taking care of dust, removing stains, and keeping glass free from smudges and streaks.

Disinfecting services, on the other hand, go much deeper than that. Disinfecting means killing the microscopic germs and viruses that may be lingering on your surfaces.

If you have a commercial space, we can help you. We have experience in numerous industries, including medical facilities that maintain high standards for hygiene, so you can trust us to deliver peace of mind. Hiring Spotless Cleaning Chicago to provide professional disinfecting services means you will receive the most complete care. We do our best to leave no stone unturned. Plus, we use the most effective and advanced equipment, hospital-grade disinfectants and techniques in the industry. Our Corona Busters with our cutting-edge equipment are weapons of mass disinfection. This includes electrostatic spraying and EPA & CDC approved disinfectants to kill viruses and other unwanted microbial contaminants.

Our teams take pictures and have to upload them when they are finished with every job. We also have ATP testing available. ATP Testing requires a swab test that detects living material to report cleanliness in a quantified measure. There is an additional $100 fee per swab test, but this is a great verification tool. If you want to have absolute proof to show your stakeholders make sure to request an ATP Test when booking your appointment.

We pay full attention to touch points like entry doors, elevators, escalators, stair railings, kitchens, shared resources, common areas and anywhere else that could be sources of infection.
